Physical (mineral) filters, which are used in truly natural sunscreens, generally work best and reflect the most sunlight. Natural sunscreens use compounds that can be obtained from minerals, or minerals, to protect against UV rays. The most common are titanium dioxide (TiO2) and zinc oxide (zinc oxideZnO). These cannot irritate or allergenize the skin and are completely safe. They work on a purely physical principle – they create a thin layer on the skin that reflects UV radiation. Mineral filters guarantee a low impact on the environment, do not damage coral reefs and marine ecosystems. Choose the right SPF! SPF indicates the amount of sun protection, i.e. the time when I can be safely in the sun without irritating or burning my skin. The most common safe time in the sun for general skin is about 15 minutes. A factor of 30 extends this time by 30 times, which translates to 450 minutes, or 7.5 hours. However, keep in mind that the intensity is higher by the sea or in the mountains. The SPF value is not related to the time spent in the sun, but rather indicates the proportion of blocked sun rays. What is the percentage of UVB protection? SPF 15 – 93 %, SPF 30 – 96.7 – 97.4 %, SPF 50 – 98 %, SPF 50+ – 98.3 %.  We also recommend using sunscreens with a minimum SPF value of 30 or more. People with very sensitive skin should choose products with maximum protection and fragrance-free products.  What is the difference between UVA and UVB rays? UVB rays are responsible for sunburn, while UVA penetrates deeper and contributes to skin aging. Thus, both radiations have a negative effect on the skin with prolonged exposure and, in the worst case, can even cause skin cancer. SPF is a measure of protection against UVB rays. If the packaging says UVA in a circle (without a number), then this product meets the standard that UVA must have a factor of at least 1/3 of the UVB factor.
